Hertfordshire teenager Isaac Phelps will take the next major step in his racing career in 2026, having been confirmed as a driver for Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain.
The move marks the 16-year-old’s first competition in GT racing and sees one of the UK’s most exciting young talents join the reigning championship-winning team as he transitions into one-make GT competition at the highest national level.
The 2025 season saw Phelps, from Berkhamsted, make the step into single-seater racing in GB4, where he delivered a remarkable debut campaign. Finishing the season as Vice-Champion, he secured multiple victories and the highest number of pole positions of any driver on the grid, earning the prestigious George Russell Pole Position Trophy. His adaptability was further underlined by a competitive guest appearance in GB3 machinery at Monza.
That momentum followed a successful 2024 campaign in the Ginetta Junior Championship, where Isaac claimed multiple race wins and podium finishes before signing off from the category as the Ginetta Junior Winter Series Champion.
Now switching from single-seaters to GT racing, Phelps joins Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport ahead of the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup GB season, lining up with one of the most successful operations in the championship’s history.
Speaking on the announcement, Phelps said:
“I am very excited to join Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport for the 2026 racing season in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB. This year, I will be making the switch from single-seaters to GT car racing, which I am really looking forward to, and I will be working immensely hard to continue building on my past successes. Having met and tested with the team late last year, I immediately gelled with them all and am certain that we will be able to hit the ground running in 2026.
“I have been racing GT cars at a very high level within the SIM racing world for a while now and feel that this will help me adapt quickly to the Porsche Cup car. I am making this step backed by a fantastic team with Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport cars, and with them having won the championship for the last two seasons, there is an immense amount of knowledge and experience around me, and I am excited to work with the team.
“I am also incredibly proud and grateful to have had such a show of confidence in me, by being given the chance to race in the Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport car. Everyone knows how sought after these seats are, so I’m now itching to get the season going and add even more success to the Rosland Gold Racing resume.”
Phelps’ appointment continues Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport’s commitment to developing young talent, with the team entering its fifth season in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB and targeting a third consecutive championship title.
